Pelham & Short Hills Tick Defense
Living near Short Hills Provincial Park or Pelham woodlots? Discover how Spider Squad's perimeter tick treatments protect rural properties and pets.
To prevent ticks on properties near Short Hills and Pelham, maintain a mowed 10-foot buffer between lawn and forest edges, clear fallen leaf litter, and apply Spider Squad's YardShield™ perimeter tick misting to property boundaries from April through October.
Pelham (Fonthill, Fenwick, Ridgeville) and properties bordering Short Hills Provincial Park feature dense Carolinian forest, ravine corridors, and abundant white-tailed deer populations—the primary host for adult blacklegged ticks.
Treating dense groundcover, wild blackberry brush, and low foliage where questing ticks wait.
Targeting active nymphal ticks in May/June and aggressive adult ticks during October deer migration.
Allows your dogs and children to play in the yard without bringing dangerous ticks indoors.
Ticks dehydrate quickly in direct sunlight and open lawn. Our targeted barrier treatments fortify shaded perimeter margins, ensuring ticks cannot cross into active turf and play areas.
