Outdoor events in Ontario run from May through October - prime time for spiders, ants, and other insects. A well-planned wedding or backyard reception can be disrupted in an instant by a guest brushing a web, finding a spider in the floral arrangements, or getting bitten by an ant under a tent edge. Spider Squad offers targeted, one-time exterior treatments that eliminate these risks before your event starts.
We apply our professional-grade, PMRA-registered treatment - to the perimeter and key areas of your outdoor venue 24 to 72 hours before guests arrive. By event time, the product has fully cured and is invisible to guests, but highly effective against the spiders and insects that would otherwise show up uninvited.

Call or request a quote online. Tell us the event date, venue location, approximate outdoor area, and any specific concern zones (tent footprint, garden paths, wooded edges). We'll confirm availability and get you a quote.
We Treat 24–72 Hours Before Your Event
A licensed Spider Squad technician arrives at the venue and applies our professional-grade treatment to the perimeter, structural elements, and key activity areas. Treatment takes 1 to 2 hours depending on venue size. Vendors can arrive and set up as soon as surfaces have dried - typically 30 to 60 minutes after treatment.
Guests Arrive to a Pest-Free Space
By the time your event begins, Our treatment has fully cured and bonded to treated surfaces. It's odourless, invisible, and rain-resistant. Spiders, ants, and other crawling insects avoid and are eliminated on contact with treated areas.
Residual Protection Through the Season
The treatment remains effective on outdoor surfaces for weeks after application. If you're hosting multiple events at the same venue through the summer, we can schedule repeat treatments to maintain the barrier through the season.

We do not treat food surfaces, guest seating fabric, or floral arrangements. The product is applied to hard surfaces - wood, concrete, stone, siding, and vegetation at the garden border level - where spiders and insects travel and nest.
Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should I book an event treatment?
As early as possible - ideally at least one week before the event date. We schedule treatment for 24 to 72 hours before guests arrive, but availability in peak season (June through September) fills up. Early booking guarantees your preferred treatment window.
Is the treatment safe for children and guests with chemical sensitivities?
Our treatment products are PMRA-registered and safe for people and pets once dried. Drying takes 30 to 60 minutes. With treatment scheduled 24+ hours before guests arrive, the product is fully cured and poses no exposure risk. Guests with specific sensitivities should consult with us when booking so we can discuss the application scope and any areas to avoid.
What happens if it rains between treatment and our event?
Our treatment cures within approximately 2 hours of application and becomes highly rain-resistant after that. Light to moderate rain after curing will not wash out the barrier. Only prolonged, heavy rainfall immediately after application (before curing) would require reassessment. We'll discuss this when you book.
Do you treat rented venues or only private property?
We can treat any venue where the property owner or venue operator grants permission for application. If you're renting a venue, confirm with the venue that outside pest control applications are permitted before booking with us.
Can you treat for wasps and bees as well?
Our treatment is effective against a broad range of insects including wasps. We do not remove active wasp nests as part of an event treatment - that requires a separate nest removal service. If there are active nests on the property, book the nest removal first, then the event treatment separately.
Is there a minimum area size or event size for booking?
No minimum guest count. We've treated intimate backyard gatherings of 20 people and large reception venues hosting several hundred. Treatment scope is based on the area covered, not the number of guests.
