Spider Squad service truck - Ontario licensed pest control subcontractor network

What This Is - And What It Isn't

This is a subcontractor network, not a job posting. You are not applying to become an employee of Spider Squad. You run your own operation. We send you booked residential pest control jobs in your area. You complete them to our brand standard and invoice us. Simple.

📋

We Book It

Spider Squad handles all marketing, online presence, customer intake, and booking. You never need to advertise or answer a sales call.

🚐

You Complete It

You receive job details, show up with your licensed equipment and registered products, and complete the treatment to Spider Squad's protocol.

💵

We Pay You

Invoice us per completed job. Clear per-job rates. No deductions, no surprises. You grow your income without growing your overhead.

Who We're Looking For

We're building a bench of reliable, professional subcontractors - not a staffing agency. The right person already operates in this industry and wants more work without more chaos.

Good Fit

Owner-Operators Looking to Fill Capacity

You have a licensed vehicle, your equipment, and the credentials - but you're not always fully booked. Spider Squad work fills the gaps in your schedule with pre-qualified residential clients.

Good Fit

Experienced Technicians Going Independent

Just left a pest control company and setting up on your own? Starting your subcontractor relationship with Spider Squad gives you immediate work while you build your own client base.

Good Fit

Licensed Exterminators in Growing Regions

Based in Simcoe County, Muskoka, Grey-Bruce, or another region where Spider Squad is expanding? You can be the first contractor in your market - priority dispatch goes to early applicants.

Good Fit

Multi-Category Licensed Technicians

Hold licences across multiple pest categories? We have growing demand for ant, mosquito, tick, and general pest work in addition to spider barrier treatments.

Not the right fit: Unlicensed applicants, hobbyists, or individuals looking for employment rather than subcontracting. Ontario pest control law requires a valid Exterminator Licence for all commercial work - no exceptions.

Requirements to Join

To protect our clients, protect you, and maintain brand standards across every job, every subcontractor must meet these minimums before their first dispatched booking.

RequirementDetailsWhy It Matters
Ontario Exterminator Licence Valid MOE licence for applicable pest categories Legal requirement for all commercial pest control in Ontario
Liability Insurance Minimum $2M commercial general liability Protects you and Spider Squad on every residential job
Business Registration Registered business name or corporation Required for subcontractor agreement and invoicing
Licensed Vehicle Your own transport with proper product storage You arrive on-site independently; clients expect professionalism
Application Equipment Your own spray equipment in working condition Spider Squad does not provide equipment to subcontractors
Signed Subcontractor Agreement Spider Squad standard subcontractor terms Defines relationship, payment, brand standards, and liability

The Work: What Spider Squad Jobs Look Like

The majority of jobs are residential exterior pest barrier treatments - our core service. Here's what a typical dispatched job looks like in practice:

60–90
Average minutes per residential job
Exterior
Most jobs are perimeter-only - no interior access needed
Pre-paid
Clients are booked and paid before you arrive
Defined
Clear protocol for each job type - no guesswork

Core Service: Spider Barrier Treatment

Exterior application of bifenthrin SC to foundation perimeter, eaves, entry points, and window/door frames. Established protocol - every job is the same process. Fast to complete once you've done a few.

Expanding Services

As contractor capacity grows, we dispatch ant control, mosquito yard treatment, tick perimeter treatment, and seasonal maintenance programs. Multi-category licensed techs get priority for these bookings.

Subcontractor Relationship - What This Means Legally

We want to be direct about the nature of this arrangement so there's no ambiguity on either side.

You Are an Independent Contractor

Spider Squad does not direct your working hours, equipment choices, or business practices. You accept or decline jobs at your discretion. You are responsible for your own taxes, CPP, and any applicable HST remittances. Spider Squad does not withhold payroll deductions - we pay your invoice in full.

You Are Responsible for Your Licensing

Your Ontario Exterminator Licence must remain valid and current for all pest categories you perform work in. Spider Squad is not liable for unlicensed applications. Expired or suspended licences result in immediate suspension from the contractor network.

You Carry Your Own Insurance

Your commercial general liability policy covers incidents arising from your work. Spider Squad carries its own coverage - but on a subcontracted job, your coverage is primary for actions you take on-site. The subcontractor agreement will clearly define each party's insurance obligations.

Brand Standards Apply

When you work a Spider Squad job you represent the Spider Squad brand to that client. Uniform or branded clothing, professional conduct, and treatment protocols must be followed. Clients rate every job - consistent low ratings result in reduced dispatch or removal from the network.

Legal note: The above is a general description of the intended relationship, not legal advice. The binding terms of the subcontractor arrangement are defined in Spider Squad's subcontractor agreement, which you will review and sign before receiving any dispatched jobs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this employment or subcontracting?
This is a subcontractor relationship, not employment. You operate as an independent contractor or incorporated business. Spider Squad dispatches work to you - you invoice us for completed jobs. You set your own schedule and control your own operations.
What certifications do I need?
You must hold a valid Ontario Exterminator Licence (Ministry of the Environment) for the pest control categories relevant to the work you'll be performing. Proof of licence, liability insurance, and business registration are required before your first dispatched job.
What regions is Spider Squad building contractor capacity in?
We're actively building across all of southern Ontario: Durham, York, Peel, Halton, Hamilton, Niagara, Simcoe County, Muskoka, the Kawarthas, Haliburton, and Grey-Bruce. Priority goes to applicants in regions where we have confirmed booking demand.
Do I need my own equipment and products?
Yes. As a subcontractor you are responsible for your own licensed vehicle, application equipment, and registered pest control products. Spider Squad provides job specifications, client access, and product protocols for brand-standard treatments.
How do I get paid?
Subcontractors submit invoices per completed job or on a weekly cycle. Payment terms are outlined in your subcontractor agreement. We work on a clearly defined per-job rate structure with no hidden deductions.
What types of work will Spider Squad send me?
The majority is residential exterior spider and pest barrier treatment - our core service. As the network grows, work includes ant control, mosquito yard treatment, tick treatment, and seasonal programs. All jobs are pre-booked through our customer intake system.
I'm licensed but my business isn't incorporated yet. Can I still apply?
Yes - a registered sole proprietorship (business name registration with ServiceOntario) satisfies the business registration requirement. You do not need to be incorporated. You will need an HST number if your annual revenue exceeds $30,000 CAD.
