A treatment scheduled 1–2 days before possession date or within the first week of occupancy establishes the perimeter barrier before furniture and belongings are moved in. Interior spot treatment — if the buyer has concerns about an unfinished basement, crawl space, or garage — is best done before occupancy so access is unrestricted.

What to have ready: the exterior of the property needs to be accessible. Tenants in possession at time of treatment (if buying a tenanted property) complicate interior access — exterior-only treatment remains effective and does not require tenant cooperation.

## Home Inspector Referrals

If a home inspection reveals spider activity or evidence (particularly concentrated basement populations, egg sac accumulation, or visible wolf spider presence), a pre-closing or post-closing Spider Squad treatment addresses the finding professionally. For the buyer, a post-inspection treatment provides a clean start.

## What to Tell Clients

**Exterior treatment:** No preparation required from the homeowner. The technician applies the foundation perimeter and structural entry points. Children and pets should stay off treated exterior surfaces until dry (30–60 minutes).

**Interior add-on:** Clear storage from under stairways, remove items from under bathroom and kitchen sinks, and keep children and pets out of treated areas until dry.

**Results timing:** Significant reduction in visible spiders within 1–2 weeks. Egg sacs that were present before treatment will not hatch into viable populations if the barrier is active — they're addressed during web cleanout or die off within the barrier zone.
