Spider Control in Bayfield
Bayfield is a heritage village on Lake Huron south of Goderich, with a small harbour, a sandy beach, and a concentration of Victorian-era homes on the main residential streets. The lakeshore setting brings fishing spider activity to dock and boathouse structures in the harbour and on private waterfront lots south of the village.
Bayfield's heritage residential streetscape — largely intact with original 19th-century homes on narrow surveyed lots — represents some of the oldest residential stock in Huron County. These structures have stone and brick foundations with accumulated entry points from over a century of settling. Cellar spiders are the dominant basement species, and perimeter treatment at the foundation level is the most effective management approach for these properties.
