**What pests do you treat?**
Spiders (our primary service), ants, mosquitoes, and ticks. Web cleanout is available as an add-on. Services can be combined in a single visit.

**Do I need to sign a contract?**
No. No contracts required. You can book a one-time treatment or enroll in the annual maintenance plan — both are no-contract arrangements.

**Are your operators licensed?**
Yes. Every operator in the Spider Squad network holds a valid Ontario pest control licence under Ontario Regulation 914 (Pesticides Act) and carries full liability insurance.

## About Treatment

**How long does a spider treatment last?**
30 to 90 days of residual control depending on weather exposure and surface type. Smooth painted surfaces retain the barrier longest. Most customers book a spring and a late-summer treatment for continuous season-long coverage.

**Do I need to be home during the treatment?**
No. Spider treatment is entirely exterior. You don't need to be home, clear the interior, or change any indoor routine. The operator works around the outside of the building only.

**Is the treatment safe for kids and pets?**
Yes, once treated surfaces are dry — typically 30 to 60 minutes after application. We use PMRA-registered bifenthrin suspension concentrates. They are safe for families and pets once surfaces are dry.

**How quickly will I see results?**
Spiders contacting the treated surface are affected within hours. You may see occasional spiders crossing from untreated areas in the first 24 to 48 hours. Web activity typically drops significantly within one week.

**Do you treat inside the home?**
Standard treatment is exterior-only, which resolves the vast majority of infestations. If spiders have established populations inside — particularly in basements or crawl spaces — interior spot treatment can be added on request. This is discussed before the job starts.

**Can I combine spider and ant treatment in one visit?**
Yes. Both treatments target the same exterior perimeter zones and can be combined in a single visit. Most clients who have both issues book a combined appointment.

**What products do you use?**
Suspend Polyzone and Dragnet — both are bifenthrin suspension concentrates registered with Health Canada's PMRA for professional residential use in Canada.

## About Preparation

**Do I need to prepare anything before the treatment?**
No major prep required. Two things help: (1) trim shrubs or branches that touch the exterior wall back 6 to 12 inches — they create bridges past the treated zone; (2) move furniture, firewood, or stored items that are directly against the house about 2 feet outward so the technician can treat the full foundation zone.

**Do I need to be outside while the treatment happens?**
No. You can stay inside, leave the property, or be present — whatever works for you. The operator is working outdoors only.

**How long does the treatment take?**
Under two hours for a standard residential property. Larger properties or those with additional zones (outbuildings, garages, interior areas) take longer.
