Spider Control in Port Stanley
Port Stanley is a lakeside community on Lake Erie's north shore with a mix of permanent residences and seasonal properties. The beach and harbour area sees dock and fishing spider activity along the concrete seawall, under pier decking, and in the boat storage buildings that line the inner harbour. These spiders are visible and large but not medically significant.
The bluffs above the beach contain older cottages and homes that in many cases have been converted to year-round use from seasonal occupancy. These buildings typically have the construction characteristics of cottage-era builds: minimal basement development, older window sealing, and crawlspace access that has not been updated. Spider populations establish readily in these conditions and persist between seasons.
