Spider Control in Aylmer
Aylmer is a small market town in the heart of Elgin County's agricultural belt, surrounded by tobacco transition crops and produce operations. The agricultural fringe on Aylmer's outskirts generates significant fall spider migration, particularly wolf spiders and funnel weavers that move from harvested fields toward residential structures as October temperatures drop.
Aylmer's older residential streets contain a mix of Victorian-era homes and mid-century bungalows with full basements and aging mortar pointing on brick facades. These structural characteristics allow house spiders and cellar spiders to establish in foundation zones and basement mechanical areas, where they remain active through most of the year in the relatively stable temperatures below grade.
